We've got you covered...

The 600-hour Somatic Bodywork and Massage Therapist Program offered at ASM not only provides you with all of the requirements for eligibility to take the National Certification Exam – we specifically prepare you for the test.

When researching massage schools, ask them if they have reviewed the most current requirements and subject breakdown, and if their classes specifically address those needs. It is possible that a school meets the "requirements" but does not specifically cover the necessary material. Our goal is to help you pass the Exam.

National Certification required or accepted in over 30 states.

Currently, massage certification is regulated on a county-by-county basis in California, but beginning this fall, that is going to change. ASM has always provided training that exceeds the requirements for most areas in our state; now our students will be eligible for the highest level of recognition by the forthcoming California Massage Therapy Council. Part of that recognition is passing the NCE or MBLEx. As an NCBTMB Assigned School, we prepare our students for National Certification as an opportunity to affirm their skills and to have more professional mobility. At Arcata School of Massage, our approach is to prepare you for the future, and to keep up with the industry-wide standards. We're pleased with the new laws in California, both for what it means for our industry and our students.
